Sigurd Olson, our writer this week, is distinctly associated with the “North Country” of Minnesota and Wisconsin.  To that end, he’s associated, much like Muir, Burroughs, Beston, and others, with a distinctive region and distinctive landscapes.  As we begin to recognize trends and patterns in the field of writers we’ve encountered so far this term, we are able to draw out comparisons more directly.  Based on your readings of Olson’s works. consider which other writer he compares with most directly.  Please draw out the comparison using quotes and examples from both texts, developing your discussion purposefully over the space of about 3/4 of a page. after that comment on two classmate answers.
