The research paper should be typed, double-spaced, using Times New Roman 12-point font, and 1-inch margins on all sides. A cover sheet should be used to identify the title of the paper and the name of the student. A separate “Works Cited” page should be included to identify the bibliography sources for your footnote citations. Neither the cover sheet nor the “Works Cited” section will be counted in the length requirements of the paper. You are not required to prepare an abstract, but if you choose to do so, the abstract will also not be counted in the 10-page requirement. The tenth page of the paper must also be a full page. Your research paper should contain at least four scholarly resources and must be properly cited using APA. Your research paper should follow this general format: Overview of the Topic Research and discussion supporting one side or viewpoint. Research and discussion supporting the opposing side or viewpoint. Discussion and analysis of the different sides or viewpoints. Your scholarly conclusion of the issue and the reasoning behind your conclusion.
A graduate research paper is an argument. It should involve your reasoning, using other sources only to support your argument and position.
